We have a series of routes that originate and finish out of Italy, TX, including the 200km/300km/400km and now a 600km route as well. The Italy rides are popular, well attended and feature low traffic roads, good riding surfaces and gentile terrain. The inaugural 600km route out of Italy will be ridden on March 29, 2008 with options available for the 200km/300km/400km routes again. All the routes share Dawson as the first control, but only the 200km and 300km routes go through Groesbeck and Mt. Calm. Tailwinds and mild temperatures are not a regular feature of these rides, but we have come to expect them! Come down anytime – all are invited and welcome!!

George Elizondo
(gre099@gmail.com)
Lone Star RandonneursAnonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-17397413.post-5851032048312874172008-02-16T10:45:00.000-06:002008-02-16T10:45:00.000-06:00I'am the post-card guy! just kidding, but i'am from...I'am the post-card guy! just kidding, but i'am from the Dallas-Ft.Worth area,in a little burb called Hurst,TX,i commute on a reg basis to work,i have driven once this year so far(dentist op),it's 40 degrees and pouring rain today Sat-16th,so i put the ol rainsuit on and crusied in,guys look at me and say "man it's cold and raining are you nuts?!"i just laugh to myself, don't want to go thru the whole spill of warming up once your into the ride, the coldest commute was 24 so far,we also have seen some 70 degree days ! a few days ago i rode in shorts!Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-17397413.post-51126672081429749352008-02-13T07:33:00.000-06:002008-02-13T07:33:00.000-06:00I think I would have traded the weather down there...I think I would have traded the weather down there for the junk up here anyday! After constantly pedaling for hours on the trail, I stopped for some lunch and found the best pie on the trail at the Boonville Diner. I would highly recommend stopping for the pie at the Diner the next time you’re on the trail.WildcatAlhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/17634070651481461752noreply@blogger.com
